In order to minimize everyone’s exposure to the coronavirus COVID-19, Millstone Township will no longer be accepting cash payments.  All payments must be made either online (Tax & Recreation Departments only), check/money order via mail or deposited in the drop box located on the front door of the municipal building.  If you are making payments during business hours and you would like a receipt, please ring the bell.  We thank you for your cooperation.  (Ordinance 21-06)

An update from the Tax Collector’s office:

Homestead Benefit adjusted tax bills for the second quarter of 2021 have been mailed.  If you qualify for the 2017 Homestead Benefit credit, you will receive a revised bill for the second quarter of 2021 that will reflect the credit.  If you believe you qualify for the 2017 Homestead Benefit credit but haven’t received an adjusted bill, please contact the Tax Collector at 732-446-3983 to determine if a credit has been applied to your account.

Second quarter taxes are due on May 1, 2021.  There is a 10-day grace period that ends on Monday, May 10th. Payments received after close of business on May 10th will be considered delinquent and will be charged interest back to the statutory due date of May 1st, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 54:4-67 and Millstone Township Resolution No. 21-34.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 54:4-64, taxes are due and payable even if you do not receive a bill. Tax bills for the 4th quarter of 2020 and the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2021 were mailed on September 24, 2020. If you did not receive a tax bill, it is your responsibility to contact the Tax Office and request a duplicate bill. The municipal building is currently closed to the public.  Tax payments may be submitted through the mail, placed in the drop box located in the front door of the municipal building at 470 Stage Coach Road or paid online through the Township’s website:

A Message from the Tax Assessor

Please be reminded that the Millstone Township Assessor’s Office periodically inspects the exterior and interior of properties each year. The field inspector will have a Township Photo ID and attire from Millstone Township to complete these routine inspections.

The Municipal Building located at 470 Stagecoach Road now has a "Drop Box" for the convenience of the residents to use after hours.  Any tax payments or recreation registrations will be posted on the next business day.  The "Drop Box" is located on the front door.

Tax Information
Taxes are due February 1st, May 1st, August 1st and November 1st. Regular tax bills are mailed during the month of July each year. If you do not receive your tax bill by August 1st, it is your responsibility to contact the tax office and request to have your bill resent. Added Assessment and Roll Back bills are sent out in October of each year. These bills are in addition to your regular tax bill and are due by November 1st. There is a 10 day grace period for tax payments. If the 10th falls on a weekend or holiday, the grace period extends to the next business day. If taxes are not paid by close of business on the final day of the grace period, interest will be charged back to the original due date. Change of Mortgage Information
Please notify the tax collector’s office if your mortgage information changes. It is your responsibility to check when your next payment is due when you have satisfied your mortgage. The “Advice Copy” of your tax bill is an exact copy of the original and can be used to submit payment.

Property Tax Relief Programs
Senior Citizen and Veteran deductions are available to qualifying applicants. Deductions are in the amount of $250.00. If you think you may qualify please call the tax collector’s office.
