Fourth quarter property tax payments are due November 1, 2018. The grace period extends through Tuesday, November 13th, at 4:00 pm. Please keep in mind that Monday, November 12th, is a legal holiday. All municipal offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.

Regular Tax Collector’s office hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.

The Tax Collector’s office will have extended hours on Wednesday, November 7th and will be open from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm.

There is a drop box located in the front entrance of the Municipal Building located at 470 Stage Coach Road for the drop off of payments after hours. The drop box is checked at 8:30 am each business day morning. Tax payments left in the drop box after 8:30 am will be processed the following business day.

**The drop box will be checked a second time at 4:00 pm on November 13th **.

Payments placed in the drop box after 4:00 pm on November 13th will be processed on November 14th and will be considered delinquent with interest charged back to the statutory due date of November 1st.

The tax office accepts payments by cash or check. If you choose to pay your taxes online, please allow time for processing. Notification of the online payment must be received by the tax office by 4:00 pm on November 13th to avoid interest penalty.

If you wish to leave your payment, there is a locked drop box on the front door of the Municipal building which is checked each morning.

A Message from the Tax Assessor

Please be reminded that the Millstone Township Assessor’s Office periodically inspects the exterior and interior of properties each year. The field inspector will have a Township Photo ID and attire from Millstone Township to complete these routine inspections.

DROP BOX
The Municipal Building located at 470 Stagecoach Road now has a "Drop Box" for the convenience of the residents to use after hours.  Any tax payments or recreation registrations will be posted on the next business day.  The "Drop Box" is located on the front door.

Tax Information
Taxes are due February 1st, May 1st, August 1st and November 1st. Regular tax bills are mailed during the month of July each year. If you do not receive your tax bill by August 1st, it is your responsibility to contact the tax office and request to have your bill resent. Added Assessment and Roll Back bills are sent out in October of each year. These bills are in addition to your regular tax bill and are due by November 1st. There is a 10 day grace period for tax payments. If the 10th falls on a weekend or holiday, the grace period extends to the next business day. If taxes are not paid by close of business on the final day of the grace period, interest will be charged back to the original due date. Change of Mortgage Information
Please notify the tax collector’s office if your mortgage information changes. It is your responsibility to check when your next payment is due when you have satisfied your mortgage. The “Advice Copy” of your tax bill is an exact copy of the original and can be used to submit payment.

Property Tax Relief Programs
Senior Citizen and Veteran deductions are available to qualifying applicants. Deductions are in the amount of $250.00. If you think you may qualify please call the tax collector’s office.
